Church web site

We are a family-focused Church who meet together to enjoy contemporary worship and to study the Bible on Sunday mornings as well as during the week in a variety of daytime and evening home groups.  We believe that a living faith in Jesus Christ is relevant and meaningful in today's society, and it is our desire and joy to communicate this through our services and within our community.

We cater for every age group, including children, families and older folks.

Our Sunday morning service has a children's church facility, and a warm welcome awaits all who would like to come along to enjoy a church service or to explore the Christian faith.  The service starts at 10.30, and we aim to finish around 12 noon, with light refreshments served after the service.

We hope that here you will be able to get a glimpse of our Christian community and be inspired to get to know God more.

Mid-week house groups are held at the church and in various homes in and around Southwell, where we teach, support and help each other.  We support the community through holding a weekly mothers and toddlers group and occasional craft days for children and their families.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Home groups

Home groups are a large feature of Church Life, and everyone should be able to find a group to suit them, with meetings spread throughout the week.

Youth and children

Youth and children have separate teaching and worship in Youth Church and Sunday school after the first half-hour on Sunday Morning.

Playtime on Wednesdays at 1.30pm is a great time for parents and toddlers.

Our mums and tots group is called Tots and Toast and runs every Monday in term time from 9.15-11am.

Every Wednesday afternoon during term time we hold Refresh, which is a youth drop-in and cafe that runs from 2.15-4pm and is open for all children and young people in school years 7-13. There are crafts, games and activities and subsidized refreshments - quite often homemade cakes.

Then once a month, on the third Wednesday of each month 7.30-9.30, we host Refresh Retro - a proper old-fashioned 'Youth Club' for those of us who are old enough to know better. For over 18s only, there is a cafe serving light refreshments; tea and coffee is always free. There is an opportunity to sit and chat and make new friends, or play table tennis, pool, or table football; there are jigsaw puzzles, crafts, word searches and crosswords - or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Everyone is very welcome.
