The church continues to host Baby Basics and the Wednesday evening youth club.

from September collaborate are holding Tuesday and Thursday evening youth events for different ages.  please pray for volunteers and children.

from the 13th July we are running a series of services based on the Gospel of John. -

week 1- A Gospel of superabundance

                                                                                            week 2 - Signs, conversations and controversy.

                                                                                            week 3 - Learning, loving, praying

                                                                                            week 4 - the Hours happen.

During the summer months some of our members gardens will be open to view refreshments provided.

HOLY TRINITY CHURCH   Julie Barker

We are very much looking forward to hosting the 'What's Next?' faith exploration event on Friday, albeit at the time of writing, we have had very little confirmation of attendance.  We continue to plan, trusting God that those who He is calling will receive an invitation from one of our Church family. We are keen to run an Alpha course either from HTS or as part of a CTiS joint initiative.

We continue to welcome a trickle of new or returning folk to our congregation and Jon has commenced a renewed visioning time during our services. 

The monthly 4pm family fun time (every 3rd Sunday) continues to attract good numbers of families, as does toddlers.  We are planning how we can best shepherd the year 6 children who will 'graduate' from the 'youth cafe 1' next term.

We recently had a service focus on our Lira (Northern Uganda) school & college mission support and have an upcoming focus on our Church Mission Society link.

The encouragement & teaching series on prayer will be followed up by a regular whole church open prayer meeting, possibly monthly, details TBC.

SOUTHWELL BAPTIST CHURCH Barry Westbury

Our search for a new minister continues as we await news from our regional office. SBC congregation have this as one of their priority prayer points. 

We have just ended a seven week study on the book of Daniel conducted by our very own Arderne Gilles. 

A significant number of SBC attendees signed up for the Lighthouse prayer initiative and the overwhelming feedback was very positive. 

We had our bi yearly church work day where the main focus was “spring clean”.  A good time of fellowship was had as we dusted off the cobwebs of our church, followed by a hearty breakfast.

Social events included the Women’s breakfast, men’s curry club and the ladies lunch. These have proved a great way of inviting non SBC church goers to come along and meet others.
