For us here at Southwell Baptist Church, church is not the building, but the people. It is not a club we join on a Sunday, but a family of faith we remain a part of day by day, as we seek to get to know God more deeply, and live with Him as an integral part of our lives, as we seek to become more like his Son, Jesus.

Our worship meetings are characterized by an informal and family-orientated style, which seeks to be as inclusive as possible to a variety of ages, and includes a wide repertoire of musical styles.

Home groups

Home groups are a large feature of Church Life, and almost anyone can find a home group to suit their age group, from Youth home group (starting from 12 years) to senior saints (ending at 91 years) Senior Saints get together on the 2nd Thursday of the month for a meal.

Youth and children

Youth and children have separate teaching and worship in Youth Church and Sunday school after the first half-hour on Sunday Morning. There are also Friday night clubs for them open to all.

Playtime on Wednesdays at 1.30pm is a great time for parents and toddlers, and on the first Friday of the month there is a toddler service.
